Update on Life

A lot has happened since establishing this website. The major event has been that I lost my wife on August 27th, 2021 due to complications with LAM and pregnancy. Words cannot describe the pain that I have been in since that fateful day. I was there in the hospital when she decompensated, lost her ability to breathe on her own and was ventilated until they said they could do no more for her. I play these events in my head all the time. I hope one day I can be at peace with them, but not yet. The good news is my daughter survived and is very healthy and loving. She reminds me of Laura, my late wife. I have been thrown now into single fatherhood, with no other passengers on the boat to look for help from. I’m rowing this boat myself, one row at a time and one push of momentum at a time. I won’t lie, my life has been devastated since the loss of my wife, but I keep pushing on for our daughter, Kyla. May Laura be in a better place.
